While much has been made of the Dodgers remaking their 94-win team, it pales in comparison to what Billy Beane has done with the 88-win Oakland Athletics.
Nine of the players who appeared in the playoff game against the Royals are no longer with the team – including five players who started the game. Nor is pitcher Jeff Samardzija (who did not appear in the game).
