TOOTBLAN Leaderboard: Individuals
As we near the All Star break, let’s take a look at MLB’s leading TOOTBLAN’ers.
For those who don’t know, a TOOTBLAN – invented in honor of Ryan Theriot in 2008 – is basically any on-base, non-force out. We recently explained it in this Rob Neyer column.
| Player | Team | Total |
| Dexter Fowler | Cubs | 11 |
| Jose Altuve | Astros | 10 |
| Dee Gordon | Marlins | 10 |
| Nor Aoki | Giants | 8 |
| Todd Frazier | Reds | 8 |
| Erick Aybar | Angels | 8 |
| Matt Carpenter | Cardinals | 8 |
| Ian Kinsler | Tigers | 8 |
| Anthony Rizzo | Cubs | 7 |
| Evan Longoria | Rays | 7 |
| Mookie Betts | Red Sox | 7 |
| Hanley Ramirez | Red Sox | 7 |
Fowler and Altuve have been at the top of the leaderboard all season, with Fowler taking the lead again Tuesday on a rather routine fielder’s choice at home.
You can see a list of every TOOTBLAN of 2015 here (as well as 2013 and 2014).
