Jayson Werth Headed To The Pokey

Jayson Werth is going to jail!

FAIRFAX, Va. — Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth has pleaded guilty to reckless driving and has been sentenced to five days in jail for driving 105 mph on the Capital Beltway.

Werth was convicted last month in Fairfax County and sentenced to 10 days in jail, but he appealed his conviction to Circuit Court.

The Washington Post reported that Werth entered a guilty plea Thursday. Werth will serve his sentence on weekends to minimize disruption to his rehabilitation following shoulder surgery.

I’m sure most convicts get to schedule their sentences around rehab needs.
