More Ned!

The Royals have extended the contract of manager Ned Yost, who somehow managed them to the World Series last year:

Yost has indicated he wanted to manage for 2-3 more seasons, then would consider retirement. Which may explain the brevity of the extension.

Ned Yost told The Star he only sought a one-year extension because Dayton Moore is only under contract through 2016.

As a manager, Yost has a career record of 830-904 – including 373-402 with the Royals. That said, he’s 11-4 in the postseason.
