Former Minor Leaguer Mario Cuomo Dies At 82

Former three-term New York Gov. Mario Cuomo died today, just hours after his son was sworn in for his second term.
Cuomo played one season in the Pirates organization – for the Brunswick Pirates in the Georgia Florida League. At age 20 in 1952, he played in 81 games – batting .244 and slugging .311. He had 10 doubles, two triples and a home run.
RIP, Governor Cuomo.
