DC Sports Bog has some details:
Michael and Alexa McIlvaine arrived at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy in Southeast on Monday expecting to tour the facility with other children from the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), which provides support for the families of fallen military servicemen and women.
They were in for a surprise.
While Michael and Alexa took turns in the academy’s batting cages, Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth entered the room with his sons, Jackson and Judah, and introduced himself. Werth worked with both Michael and Alexa on their baseball fundamentals, signed autographed and shared a few laughs.
That’s nice.
