Gregorius An Upgrade Over Jeter At Shortstop – Offensively

Didi Gregorius is known as a solid defender at shortstop, one who undoubtedly will be a major upgrade for the Yankees with the departure of Derek Jeter.
But the former Diamondbacks shortstop will also be an offensive upgrade for the Yankees, at least compared to Jeter’s output from the last two seasons:
The only clear advantage for Jeter, oddly, is he stole more bases – though only 10. But it seems unlikely Gregorius will insist on batting second with that batting line (as his predecessor did).
Seems unlikely Yankees fans will treat Gregorius as an upgrade, but the Yankees should be better with him in the field – and at the plate.
