Mark Reynolds is staying in the National League Central, agreeing to a one-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals. He’s expected to be a bat off the bench, while backing up at third and/or first base.

Reynolds, 31, hit 22 home runs for the Brewers last year (while striking out 122 times in 433 at-bats). He has hit as many 44 homers in a season and has led the National League in strikeouts four times.
