Will Carroll – the self-proclaimed injury expert – threw this out there earlier today:

Rumors of a failed physical blowing up the Kemp deal to the Padres are starting to get louder.

As you’ll recall, the Dodgers settled all family business in the wee hours of December 11. That included agreeing to trade Matt Kemp to the Padres for Yasmani Grandal and some pitching prospects. It has yet to finalized, apparently, leading to Carroll’s above “rumors” report. Anyone else hearing anything?  

I’m told Dodgers haven’t heard anything from Padres that would indicate Kemp deal is in any jeopardy.
